Drop by the museum every week for a chance to hone your skills. RAM provides a live model and studio space FREE for artists. Bring your own materials, easels are provided. All are welcome!
RAM Saturdays – Ongoing/Free
Every Saturday learn a new medium!
Every Saturday from 12-5 will be a fun hands-on exploration of a new medium or type of art. It’s a casual make and take program. Participants will learn about techniques and materials in the RAM studio and have the opportunity to make their own original works of art to take home. This is a free program, open to the public, for all ages.

Join us for a special RAM Saturday project as we prepare to say goodbye to the Heartbreak in Peanuts exhibit. Visitors will create their own watercolor painting featuring Charlie Brown and his faithful dog, Snoopy.

Gilcrease on Wheels – Free

Gilcrease on Wheels is a mobile museum experience that brings art and social studies to fourth and fifth grade students. Trained educators from the Gilcrease Museum offer two curriculum themes that coincide with each grade level: Native American culture for fourth grade, and U.S. history for fifth grade.
CHALK IT UP! – Free
Come and create your own chalk art on the RAM patio during the citywide UNEXPECTED Mural Project weekend in downtown Fort Smith! Guests are also welcome to create a make and take work of chalk art in the RAM studio along with our RAM Saturday crowd. You can also participate in a collaborative mural that will be on display at RAM through the month of July! Bring the whole family downtown to have fun and CHALK IT UP!
