Art in Aviation
Boeing P-26A by Charles Hubbell
Organized by RAM, in collaboration with the Fort Smith Air Museum, this exhibition consists of 40 aviation prints by various artists selected from the George Calvin Schriver Collection. Shriver (1925 – 2012) graduated from Fort Smith High School, was a US Navy pilot in WWII, and went on to become the Commandant of the Civil Air Patrol in the 1950s, flying search and rescue missions. He was also the founder of the Flight Masters Model Airplane Club of Fort Smith. Throughout his life, Schriver collected aviation lithographs, most of which he donated to the Fort Smith Air Museum in 2008. After Shriver’s death, the remaining prints were donated by the Shriver Family in 2018.
