ArTs at Bost offers free, high-quality classes to increase the overall health and wellness of individuals they serve with physical and intellectual disabilities. Weekly art classes are offered in Fort Smith and Rogers in partnership with artists Melinda Shores and Eden Miller with support from the Arkansas Arts Council. ArTs at Bost currently serves 20 artists with disabilities in the art classes, with plans to expand.
When the program began seven years ago with artist Cathy Mason, she asked the consumers what their long-term goals from the art class were, and their answer was to have art hung in a museum.
The Fort Smith Regional Art Museum is proud to present Arts at Bost: Creativity, Connection and Choices. With subjects ranging from portraits to undersea creatures and collages, we invite the community to take a look and enjoy the talents of the diverse artists from ArTs at Bost.
