Suzannah Schreckhise: Attention to Tension

Suzannah Schreckhise is a multidisciplinary visual artist living in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She earned her Bachelor of Art at the University of the Ozarks in Clarksville. She has participated in numerous state and national exhibitions, including “Our Front Porch” sponsored in part by the Mid-America Arts Alliance, and her work has been featured several publications, most notably the international juried art magazine Studio Visit. Schreckhise has received several awards and honors, including a fellowship from Artist INC; first place at the 2019 RAM Invitational and at the NEA Big Read Recycled Art Exhibition at the Windgate Gallery at the University of Arkansas – Fort Smith; Best Sculpture Award for her piece “Falling to Pieces” in the 2018 Artists of Northwest Arkansas Exhibition; and acceptance onto the artist registry for the Arkansas National Committee of the National Museum of Women in the Arts. Her work will tour the state as part of that committee’s Women to Watch exhibition Paper Routes in 2021.
Ms. Schreckhise was the winner of the 2019 RAM Annual Invitational.
