STARTS AUGUST 31 | ENDS JANUARY 19
RECEPTION: AUGUST 30, 5-7 PM
Sonja K. Ayres was born in Fort Smith, AR. She moved to California at an early age, but as an adult moved her own family back “home.”
Ayres began painting in 1970. Native American themes, horses, landscapes and fly-fishing scenes are some of her favorites, and she is a highly sought after portrait artist. Ayres was inducted into the Master Artist Program at the Five Civilized Tribes Museum in 2010 and teaches art and pottery-making.
This exhibition will feature the students of Sonja Ayres. These artists vary in age from 9 years old and up, reminding us that it’s never too soon or too late to become a student of the arts.
