CURRENT EXHIBITIONS

The Annual Invitational is a national competitive exhibition that has been hosted by the Fort Smith Regional Art Museum since its inception in 1948. The purpose of this exhibition is to encourage and recognize professional artists and foster art appreciation in the community. This year’s Annual Invitational invites artists to help us celebrate all things Inclusive.

Inclusive artistic expression comes from artists being aware of their own biases and actively seeking out and considering different perspectives. These different perspectives can be about something as straight forward as switching to a new medium or it can be about something as profound as being reminded that inspiration can be found within all things and all cultures.

Join us Friday, May 24, from 5 – 7 pm for the opening reception where we will be featuring artwork from local and regional artists such as Eloa Jane, Dennis McCann, Barbara Satterfield and much more!
