Join us on Friday, September 12, from 5-7 pm for an art exhibition by artist Oluwatobi Adewumi. Adewumi is a contemporary artist whose multimedia drawings address identity, culture, and migration. Originally from Nigeria and now in McNeil, Arkansas, his work examines his journey of assimilation while honoring his African heritage.

His exhibition, Journey to the Unknown, highlights the resilience of immigrants, reflecting their histories and struggles, while encouraging discussions about displacement and the search for home.

ARTIST LECTURE
with Oluwatobi Adewumi

Join us on Saturday, November 8, from 5:30 – 6:30 pm for a lecture by artist Oluwatobi Adewumi. Adewumi will discuss his personal journey of immigrating from Nigeria to McNeil, AR, and being an artist in rural Arkansas. The artist will also discuss his techniques of charcoal and the abstract realism of his layered portraits. Adewumi states, “My journey began with a deep desire to tell stories – stories about identity, migration and what it means to belong.”
