STARTS JULY 27 | ENDS DECEMBER 1
OPENING RECEPTION: FRIDAY, JULY 26, 5 – 7 PM

Created by artist Monica Moore, The Hearts Project is an installation displayed in the RAM lobby that will feature 2,700 (of 13,068) hand-cut paper hearts, one for each Arkansan who lost their life to COVID. The hearts both symbolize lives lost and create a visual representation of the scope of the pandemic in our state.

We urge viewers to survey the 2,700 paper hearts on display for this first installation and imagine what 13,068 hearts would look like or even what 1,134,660 hearts would look like (U.S. total deaths since 2023) and to consider what has changed for you since the pandemic more than four years ago.
