STARTS FEB 17 | ENDS MAY 19
OPENING RECEPTION
FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 16, 5 – 7 PM
KRISTEN TORDELLA–WILLIAMS is a contemporary carpetbagger and Professor of Sculpture at Auburn University. Her work raises important questions about the intersection of labor, identity, and environment. By gathering and re-interpreting the remnants of labor – like setting Edna St Vincent Millay’s poems in letterpress or pulping threadbare work clothes – she creates thought-provoking interdisciplinary artworks that invites viewers to reflect on the legacy we are leaving for future generations, be it through our trash, our work, or our art.
