RECEPTION: MAY 15, 5 – 7 PM
ON VIEW: MAY 16 – SEPT 13

Join us on Friday, May 15, from 5-7 pm for the opening reception of No Reservations, an exhibition by artist Jon Williams. Williams is a self-taught wood sculptor and painter whose work often tells of Native American people, their beautiful culture and traditions, and the injustices they have endured.

“The heart of Indian Territory in Oklahoma, the Cherokee Nation in particular, is familiar to many in our area. As a Native American artist, it’s important to me that we recognize and honor all the Native Americans that were forcibly relocated to Indian Territory. Fighting to successfully reestablish their homes, traditions and culture, their story is one that must not be forgotten. We are all tied together by the First Nations, by blood, through our shared history. This common thread is undeniable.

“This exhibition aims to captures the spirit and heart of so many Native Americans I have met and have had the pleasure of knowing.” – Jon Williams
