Join us again for a figure drawing class with artist and educator Amy Holmes Scoggins! Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced artist, you’ll benefit from personalized instruction designed to enhance your observational skills and confidence. In this class, you will work with a live, clothed model, explore anatomical resources, and engage in enriching discussions to deepen your understanding of drawing the figure.

WATERCOLORS IN PROCREATE

Teens & Adults, Ages 14+
In the 2-1/2 hour class, using Procreate’s powerful watercolor and ink brushes, students will learn how to create electronic works of art that mimic traditional media, mainly pencil, ink, and watercolor.
Please bring an iPad and an Apple Pencil with Procreate installed. Contact RAM for scholarship opportunities (Ipad rental included). Please note that scholarships are limited.
OIL PAINTING WORKSHOP

In this two-night workshop, artist and instructor Stephanie D. Lee will guide students through the process of painting a simple still life from start to finish. Students will learn essential oil painting techniques including drawing, color mixing, understanding light and shadow, and creating form and depth. With step-by-step demonstrations and personal instruction, this class is ideal for beginners as well as painters looking to strengthen their foundational skills in a relaxed and supportive environment.
UFO: THE HUMAN EXPERIENCE

Explore the mysteries of Arkansas skies when you join us for UFO: The Human Experience, a docushort screening on Saturday, October 10, at 5:30 pm! Since 1896, locals have reported strange sightings, especially during the 1960s to the 1980s. Dive into these fascinating stories with Jim Whiteaker’s documentary, featuring firsthand accounts from area residents. The event kicks off with an introduction by Whiteaker, and after the film, some witnesses will be on hand to answer your questions. Doors open at 5 PM, and the program starts at 5:30 PM. Space is limited to 50 visitors, so arrive early to secure your spot!

Our homeschool classes explore the core principles of art as well as highlight famous artists from art history. We will discuss elements and principles of design, as well as focus on honing young artist’s skills in different mediums.

Guided by a trained gallery educator, tours include our 5 galleries and information about the techniques and processes of multiple artists.
GROUP TOURS
Tours for both students and adults (or school field trips!) will be led by trained gallery educators for a 60–90 minute museum experience. The first half will be spent touring the galleries and the second half will be spent in our studio with a craft or project.
