What is the Friends of RAM Auxiliary?

Through monthly meetings and mutual dedication to aiding RAM in its mission to foster art in our region, the volunteer members of the Friends of RAM Auxiliary have made themselves indispensable in RAM events and fundraising. The Auxiliary provides a beautiful way for volunteers to get involved behind the scenes at RAM and make a huge impact on the ways RAM is able to serve our region.

History

The Friends of RAM Auxiliary has operated since before RAM became RAM, back in its Art Center days. The Auxiliary supported the Art Center’s fundraising efforts in events like the Belle Bazaar and Art in the Park, but in the mid 2000s, the Auxiliary became inactive.

Friends of RAM returned in 2019 as a roundtable, and in 2024, it once again became the Friends of RAM Auxiliary. Today, the Auxiliary functions in much the same way as it did in years past. Every second Wednesday of the month, the organization meets for an update on RAM, to discuss ways to support events and fundraising, and (for a large portion of the year) to work on RAM’s Annual Fundraising Gala, which the Auxiliary took over as primary lead on in 2026.
