Summer Art Camps Return for 2026!

Get ready for an artistic summer at RAM’s 2026 Summer Art Camps! From July 7 to July 24, kids, teens and adults can dive into creative fun with our exciting program lineup.

 

Helmets & Hats Art Camp
July 7 – July 10,
12:30 – 4 pm each day

Ages 6 – 8
$20 fee
All supplies provided

Are you ready to spark your child’s creativity this summer?

During this hands-on camp, young artists will create a paper mache hat or helmet–perfect for all their summer adventures! Starting with a balloon as the base, they will learn the art of layering paper mache and bringing their creations to life with 3-D decorations and vibrant paints.

Creative Creatures Art Camp
July 14 – 17
12:30 – 4 pm each day

Ages 9 – 12
$20 fee
All supplies provided

Join us for an imaginative adventure at our Creative Creatures Art Camp, taking place from Tuesday, July 14, to Friday, July 17! Young artists will start by constructing armatures and layering them with paper mache to design their own distinctive creatures, whether inspired by the real world or drawn from fantasy. Participants will then enhance their creations with 3-D decorations and finish them with paint or decoupage.

Cryptids At-Large Art Camp
July 21 – July 24
12:30 – 4 pm each day
Ages 12 – 18
$20 fee

Join us for our Cryptids At-Large summer art camp, where creativity meets mystery! Over four afternoons, participants aged 12 to 18 will collaborate on a thrilling project to bring a large-scale cryptid to life. With the armature already prepared, campers will design and craft their unique creature, which will be proudly displayed at the RAM. Students will not only learn paper mache skills but also fun cryptid facts and mysteries. Don’t miss this chance to unleash your imagination and artistic talent!

Drawing 101 with Amy Holmes Scoggins

Join us for an engaging two-day workshop led by artist and educator Amy Holmes Scoggins. Drawing 101 is crafted to enhance your foundational skills while honing your ability to observe the world with clarity. Focusing primarily on charcoal, participants will delve into both technical accuracy and expressive subtleties. With thoughtful class discussions and personalized, tiered instruction, every artist—whether a novice or seasoned professional—will receive guidance tailored to their skill level. Two sessions featuring different subjects are available – join us in late June and/or late July!
